Description: The first Chatter Telephone introduced by Fisher-Price was the #747 Chatter Telephone in 1962, which remained in production until 1989. For no apparent reason, the model number was changed from #747 to #2035 in 1990. Then, in 1992, the Chatter Telephone was introduced "New" as #2063. The #2063 telephone is the same size and shape as #747 and #2035. The difference is that the #2063 has multi-colored confetti on it's base opposed to stars, and the smile on the front is a one-line smile opposed to the open mouth smile of the #747.
The telephone was designed with a rotary dial to teach children how to dial a telephone. When the dial is turned and released, it rewards child with a ringing bell. This friendly phone makes a "chatter" and his eyes roll up and down as he is pulled. Designed for children ages 1 to 4 years old.
