Description: The first year that Fisher-Price made a rolling riding horse was in 1934 with the #200 Wheel Horse. Fisher-Price made the horse a bit bigger and stronger and introduced the #225 Wheel Horse in 1935. 1936 rolled around with yet another new horse. The #237 is basically the same as the #225 except the #237 Riding Horse has detailed facial features and a red leather bridle-rein. A similar Riding Horse with a black leather bridle-rein and a rounded chest was introduced in 1937 as the #245 Riding Horse.
Accessories:
  • FPT4137 - White wooden riding horse with scattered black polka-dots, a black realistic stenciled face (mouth, lips, and nostrils are outlined and eyes have printed wrinkles around them) and mane, a tail made of black fiber, a red leather bridle, and 4 round peg legs that are mounted onto a red platform that rolls on 4 wooden wheels. A small red wooden seat for a child rider is mounted on the horse's back. The horse does not have a Fisher-Price logo or model number written anywhere on it.
Variations: Nine.
Other Information:
  • There were 5 different versions of a riding horse used during the early years of Fisher-Price, from 1934 to 1940's, click here for a list of these variations.
